Species: Oak, Red


Species Characteristics: Heartwood is a light to medium brown, commonly with a reddish cast. Paler sapwood is not always sharply demarcated from the heartwood. Quartersawn sections display prominent ray fleck patterns. Grain is straight, with a coarse, uneven texture.
