Species: Zebrawood

Species Characteristics: Heartwood is a light brown or cream color with dark blackish brown streaks vaguely resembling a zebra’s stripes. Has a fairly coarse texture and open pores. Grain is usually wavy or interlocked. Quarter sawn (or quartered) lumber refers to the angle at which the tree’s growth rings intersect the face of the sawn board. Quarter sawn wood is prized for its unique appearance as well as its durability.
