Warped Boards

Nothing is more frustrating than putting a board in your laser and being warped or curved. It needs to lay flat. To prevent warping we store all of our wood flat and after cutting we add weight to keep flat while storing. Then we bind multiple boards with stretch wrap to splint the boards. However, warping typically occurs with changes in humidity and so during shipping, or if you live I an area with different humidity than Utah, the boards could warp.

Solution: The easiest way to straighten boards is to spritz each side of the board with water or use a damp cloth to gently dampen the wood. Place the boards on a flat surface and apply a heavy object to flatten. Leave in place for several hours to a day.
