Masking: To protect the acrylic sheet during shipping, both sides are masked to prevent scratches and damage.
Laser Safe: This acrylic is laser safe and can be used with both Co2 and diode lasers, as well as routers, Dremels and scroll saws. It can also be glued, bent with heat, and drilled.

Northern Lights Acrylic has a thin film of iridescent material adhered to the surface of clear acrylic. This film is what give the rainbow shimmer appearance. This film is very tightly adhered and when cutting with a laser, this film will not come off. However, when we cut the 4x8 sheets of Northern Lights down to 12x19, we used a saw and the teeth from the saw can sometimes cause a small edge of the film to stick up. Don’t pull on this! It is fine and does not affect the remaining part of the sheet. Just don’t use the very edge that is exposed.
